 | I dont know what to think about 12 Stones..... Ever since fame got to their head, I have a feeling they kinda got rid of their original crutch... God. Anyways... I don't know much about the band, but this songs seems to reflect what they are doing
Willing
To believe in something
Forgetting
To believe in me
Will i
Find my place in your mind
Or will i fall away in time
Anyways... 2 CDs... Just cuz the music is great. |

 |
- | What is up with these lyrics? |
 | I love the sound and these guys really rock, but the message leaves alot to be desired. "Willing to believe in something"?!? What? If you don't know what you believe in, you are lost. "Forgetting to believe in me" ?!? What? Our Lord teaches us that we believe in Him. Believing in yourself will only end in failure and death. That is the whole point! We are fallen and incapable. It is only through Him that anything is possible. 2cds for the rockin' sound... |
 |
- | All-rite |
 | Ok these guys are so gettin away from what they started with....what happened to God? He gave them the talent....now why aren't they using it to glorify His name? I love the band, but i hate to see such a great band slip away from what they believe just because of a lil bit of cash that they can't take with them..... |
 |
- | umm |
 | you know I hate to say it but... it does seem cookie cutter as someone said above. I like 12 stones, but this just feels like more of the same. I hope the rest of their songs are a little different at least. 2 cds -jace |
 |
- | whoa whoa whoa. hold the phone. |
 | ok, just to clear things up for those that are judging 12 Stones because "Far Away" doesn't mentions the words we would like to hear, the song is very very Christian though. Look at it from this perspective. Someone who is falling away, and struggling, like we all do, "Now I'm feeling so far away, and now I'm hating you everyday" that last part could be taken in so many ways. I have had the oppurtunity to hear all of Potter's Field already, and there are some very inspirational songs on there, mostly "Stay" and "The Last Song", but don't judge their beliefs just because they don't say the words that we all want to hear. It would be nice, but Paul seriously pours his heart out in these lyrics. As For sound, they have definitely matured sound wise. If you played both albums for someone who never heard them, they would be able to guess that Potter's Field is the second album, its that much different, and better. |
 |
- | sweet. |
 | 'nuff said |
 |
- | YEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
 | this song is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
|
 |
- | Best 12 Stones song ever |
 | God wants us to believe in ourselves and have confidence |
 |
- | 12 Stones best song |
 | This song should be popular mainstream, which will get non-Christians to look into their earlier release that contains more spiritual songs like "Broken" and "The Way I Feel." |
 |
- | Absolute best of 12 Stones |
 | I'm waiting And dreaming Yesterday Slipped away When you didn't know And no more waiting Let me back...positive message that should get mainstream play |
 |
- | Hating Who? |
 | Lyrics matter. Ya gotta say something! Sure it rocks, but the lyrics are mish/mash! The "hating" line turned it off for me. I gotta draw the line somewhere. |
 |
- | beautiful |
 | these guys are awesome live, go see em! |
 |
- | AWESOME!!! |
 | the song's great with a real message
about how even though we know God
is always with us, we can feel far away
from His arms. Everyone has sinned and
during this time is when we feel far away
but the song shows that we feel better
when we're back in His arms. the new sound is also great! 12 stones rocks!!! |
 |
- | haven't heard it yet |
 | 1 cd. |
 |
- | great lyrics |
 | most people are seeing the lyrics as non-christian but they so are if you look at the song as if jesus were singing it. we as people are willing to believe in anything that makes us happy and so many times we forget to believe in god. so i say that when they say,"willing to believe in something forgetting to believe in me" it's coming from god |
 |
- | One of the best 12 Stones song ever ! |
 | Did you see the video to this awesome stuff ?? It rocks !!!!!!!!!!
|
 |
- | just gotta say something |
 | i have to agree with "whoa whoa whoa. hold the phone." who are we to judge 12 stones. we don't know what this song is truly about and God knows there hearts, so let's just enjoy the music and continue to rock for God. by the way i give this song 4 cds.... |
 |
- | Absolutely Awsome!!!! |
 |
- | ummm song good |
 | but i dont think it should be a christian song i just feel the lyrics arent very christian i mean it could be seen as christian song but it as in some of the lyrics they say (now i hate you) are they hating the lord????? if thats what they mean its not really christian and as other part of there lyrics ( i believe in something) they never said they believed in lord for all that could mean is that they believe that a rose is red the songs should make the lyrics more clear it would help many |
 |
- | Like the tune, but... |
 | I just got back from the XXXXXX Christian book store who had Potter's Field in the store but wouldn't sell it to me because of the language in the liner notes. The Bible warns us that we should judge rightly, which is always a slippery slope for we humans. On the other hand, these guys thank God (which lots of bands are afriad to do), but then swear in the same paragraph. Make your minds up guys, your audience is watching, and if you move the line, they might decide it's OK too. Sorry, don't mean to lecture. The music is great, and I agree they've matured the sound. |
 |
- | Another 3 for music |
 | Sounds good... but personally I come to
christianrock.net to hear christian music. I dont
come to hear christian bands singing cool songs
that are so ambiguous christians cant find God in
them, let alone non-christians. |
 |
- | Great sound but confussing |
 | I would have to say that 12 Stones rocks with this song as they normaly do, but I personally have a hard time relating to this song. There are times that I have felt far away from God but it has never been in hate. This song's lyrics seem to contradict Shadows as well. |
 |
- | Best song ever!!!! |
 |
- | zzzZZZzzzZZzzz |
 | YES!!! ANOTHER TYPICAL SNOOZEFEST!!!!! Man, good thing I wasn't looking for anything special here, whew...that was close. |
 |
- | dont really care for it |
 | I mean i love their old cd, this song just doesnt seem to have the passion the other songs on their old cd did...maybe i just need to get used to it... we'll see |
 |
- | Don't play it so much |
 | It's a good song and i would have given it 5 cds if the people that made the playlists didnt put at as every other song, alternating with energy by poor mans riches. It's a good song, but play something new please! |
 |
- | Great Song |
 | Excellent song! As for the lyrics, I'm not gonna judge. I wil remind everyone that music is entertainment, not doctrine. Let's just say he really does hate God when he feels "far away", i'm sure there are many people who feel the same way....doesn't make them right, but they can still be sold out servants of God. We all have faults. Once again, It's just entertainment...Chill Out!....4 cd's |
 |
- | What's your prob?!?!? |
 | This song is so head bangin' I almost broke my keyboard!! 5cd's ...... duh... -Tyran |
 |
- | "losing sense of what is real" they sure are......... |
 | 12 stones used to be an awesome group but now the whole fame thing has got to their head. the lyrics on their new cd arent about god anymore! and whats with far away?!?!?! maybe it wasn't so bad at first, but the whole "hating you" thing turned me off. too bad the awesome music couldn't have better lyrics. - 1 cd |
 |
- | Stupendous. |
 | 12 Stones' best song. 4 CDs. |
 |
- | The best 12 stones song ! |
 | 12 stones rocks...
if u dont have the cd get it.

 | DISCLAIMER: Some people won't like what I'm saying, but everyone has an opinion. I am not bashing the 12 Stones or their fans. I am putting my opinion on uh. . . paper I guess it is. End Disclaimer ***
This song's pronouns just don't measure up. In the first verse it is obvious that a person is singing because Jesus never was "pulled down" or was "losing ground"--he never made a mistake. However, in the next section it would seem that Jesus would be singing "Willing / To believe in something / Forgetting to believe in me / Will I find my place in your mind / Or will I fall away in time?"
The next part (the chorus) says "Now I'm feeling / So far away / And Now I'm hating you / Every Day." Who now is singing this? Well, it is obviously not God because He is a God of Love who does not hate people, just sin. The 12 Stones are not consistent with their pronouns at all. All through this song they use the word "me" for a person, and then (in the very next section or even line) they use "me" as a pronoun for God.
This whole song is so confusing, pretty soon you don't know who or what they are singing about. For this reason, I give this song a 1 CD rating. If the 12 Stones ARE singing about believing in themselves, I definitely would stay Far Away from this band.
Just for the record, the 12 Stones aren't the only band who does this... POD and others are also notorious for using pronouns in a confusing way. N.WestJE

- | what the HECK!!!! |
 | who the heck do you people think you are judging the band when you admit it yoursef that you don't know what they are talking about.try and find out what they are talking about!!! i mean come on check out their site and see if they explain the song.i'll admit it myself i don't know what they are talking about but i'm not going to judge them!! i've got the cd and they have awesome songs like "Stay" and "The Last Song". and instead of each song sounding the same like everybody complained about on their first album, they bring different sounds and Eric still does some guitar solos. Don't diss 12 Stones just because they are trying to reach out to everybody. you all sound like a bunch of whiny kids who are saying that because 12 Stones is reaching out to non-christian that they need to be put away.so stop complaing and judging unless you KNOW what they are talking about. DGM |
 |
- | The lyrics are confusing, but it rocks. |
 | I give it a 3 because it's confusing. |

- | Review by K-fipps |
 | Okay... this song is Paul Mcoy's reflections on the guy who killed himself. (The same guy Photograph is about.) He said he started writing the song, and then he got angry over how the guy killed himself over something so trivial. In case you haven't heard about it before, Paul's younger sister dated him for about three months. They broke up, and after that he would repeatedly ask her out. One day he asked her once more. When she refused he pulled out a gun and shot himself. I can understand why that would make Paul mad, but I would be disappointed in myself for not trying harder to reach that person. I can't see myself saying that I hate that person either. |
 |
- | Hard ROCKERS |
 | This song is a awesome With these Hard rockers |
 |
- | These guys aren't ashamed of being christians |
 | Ok. I know the lyrics seem wishy-washy but who are we to judge them. I saw in an interview with these guys when they were asked if they were a Christian rock band and they said no but they all have strong Christian beliefs. They said that they aren't a Christian rock band but rather "Christians in a band" so obviously they aren't afraid to proclaim that they're Christians. |
 |
- | true but wrong |
 | They may not be ashamed but i heard they didn't want to be a christian so they may be afraid to proclaim. If they weren't afraid then....they most likely would've been a christain band. I liket their old cd better neways. only 2cds |
 |
- | zang! (exellent) |
 | this is great! at first though i thought it was pod cause when i heard clips i thought it was pod...but its really good! |
